Meet the team

The Restorative Lab is a unique partnership between Dr. Terence Bevington, Dr. Anna Gregory and Tom Mellor. Our combined experience in supporting workplaces to be more relational and restorative includes work in Local Authorities, Education, Criminal Justice, Health and Social Care, Voluntary and Third Sector organisations. With over 30 years’ combined experience at the forefront of conflict transformation research and restorative practice - we are a powerful force.

As the co-founders of The Restorative Lab, Anna, Tom, and Terence strive to embody relational and restorative values. We seek to run The Restorative Lab ethically, operate morally, inclusively, and transparently whilst taking a leadership role in the fields of conflict transformation, peace building and restorative practice and increasing our reach across the globe.

Terence: systems thinker, grounded, thoughtful.

With over 25 years experience as teacher-educator and strategic consultant with an inner-London education authority, Terence has gained a solid practical grounding in the realities of organisations and the often untapped potential for conflict to bring learning and growth. Terence is in the process of developing innovative evaluation methodologies as part of his PhD research which he presents nationally and internationally.

Anna: effervescent, creative, committed.


Anna is a dynamic facilitator with hands-on experience in leading culture change programmes. She has worked with national and regional charities across the UK, providing support, training, and development to communities. Anna brings specialist skills and knowledge in trauma-informed and shame-sensitive practices, ensuring her approach is both empathetic and effective. She is an advanced-level practitioner, recognised by the Restorative Justice Council, UK.

Tom: energetic, reflective, a communicator.

Tom has extensive experience strategic development of services in the fields of social care, children and young people’s services, criminal justice and education. On the ground, Tom is an experienced trainer and consultant who specialises in developing creative participatory approaches with teams.

We are accredited and recognised by the UK’s Restorative Justice Council

The RJC is the independent third sector membership body for the field of restorative practice. It provides quality assurance and a national voice advocating the widespread use of all forms of restorative practice, including restorative justice.
